One day we’ll look back and remember the great burger craze of the 2010s. When there was hardly a Londoner who didn’t have an opinion on brioche buns. Our passion is finally dwindling, I’d say, but those still on a pilgrimage for patty perfection should pay attention to Dip & Flip. Their USP is gravy, but I’d suggest ignoring that unless you think soggy is a good thing. Go for the cheeseburger. It tastes of all the right things in all the right places and is structurally sound – an upside to being designed to be dunked.
Chips drowned in sticky squeezy cheese with bacon, green chilli and gravy as a delicious a hot mess as they sound, and the vanilla milkshake with added bourbon made this a very happy meal indeed. Anyone North of the river will have to make a fair journey to tick this one off the list (the only branches are in Battersea and Wimbledon) but if you want to collect that full set of ‘best burger’ top trumps, this one’s a must-eat.
